Jesse joined Central as lead pastor in January 2021. He is married to Rachel (yes, Central’s Director of Worship) and together they have 3 kids: Raya Praise, Mikaiah Truth, and Shiloh Wise. He enjoys reading, riding motorcycle, traveling with the family, good conversations, and most things outdoors. Jesse’s favorite food is chocolate! 

Payton was born and raised in Sioux Center, and is married to his wife, Shaylee, since October of 2024. In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing games (board games, video games, etc.), and woodworking. He is quite a huge fan of pizza.

Ellen joined Central as the Office Coordinator in 2013. If you have questions, this is the place to call. Ellen and her husband Dave have four grown children and two grandsons whom they love to spend time with. At home they still have a very spoiled cat and they enjoy going to music concerts and spending time at the lake.

Arnie is a man of many talents, and he continues to share his talents and skills at Central Church. He’s married to Bev, who also serves on Sunday mornings with the Production Team. When they’re not caring for their own family, they enjoy supporting the Warriors and can often be found cheering on the next generation from the sidelines and the stands. 

Rachel and her husband Jesse have three kids, a daughter and 2 sons. Together, they enjoy road trips, watching movies, and visiting National Parks. In her free time, she likes making music, gardening and cheering her kids on at their various activities.

Emily grew up on a farm near Maurice, lived in Harlan, IA, for 5 years, and now has lived in Sioux Center for the past 13 years.  She is married to Robbie and is blessed with 3 kids: Drew, Grant, & Claire. Emily enjoys subbing at school when not at church, as well as traveling & hiking with her family, and all things sweet!

Minerva has lived her life in Sioux County, most of which has been spent on the farm with her husband, Rog. They have 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren. She’s served many roles at Central Church over the years including Worship Team, Office staff, and Nurture Team. Minerva enjoys people which makes her well-suited for Connections. In her “free time” she teaches piano lessons.
